The Department of Public Safety and Transportation will conduct regularly scheduled testing and maintenance of ºüÀêÊÓƵ’s fire life safety systems (standpipes and sprinklers) on our Garden City campus on Wednesday, November 13 and Thursday, November 14.

On Monday, November 11, the Department of Public Safety and Transportation will conduct regularly scheduled testing and maintenance of the fire pump systems in Residence Halls A and B, the Ruth S. Harley University Center and the Center for Recreation and Sports on our Garden City campus.

The Department of Public Safety and Transportation would like to inform you that the Annual New York State Fire Life Safety Inspections will take place on the Garden City Campus on November 7, 12, 19, 21, and 26. We anticipate that the residence hall inspections will take place on November 19 and 21. 

In partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to help prevent pill abuse and theft, ºüÀêÊÓƵ’s Department of Public Safety and Transportation continues its biannual tradition as a drop-off site for the safe disposal of potentially dangerous, expired or unwanted prescription drugs. The service is free; no questions will be asked.
